We are once again planning our Baja trip to Door of Faith Orphanage (and surrounding areas). Please consider joining us and see a little of what God is doing in Baja Mexico!

October 19-26, 2019

(Saturday to Saturday)

Registration and payment due by October 1st, 2019

Purpose of the trip:

  1. Love our neighbor, feed the hungry, heal the sick, set captives free, hold babies.

  2. Experience 3rd world missions, on the frontlines.

  3. Build relationships:

    • With Door of Faith Orphanage (one of the most amazing places on earth).

    • With other churches, missions organizations in the area (including a new, much smaller orphanage)

    • With Lupita Morales, a local tireless minister of the Gospel – She takes into forgotten places, and we constantly see miracles and victory for the Kingdom.

A little flavor:

This trip is an adventure. It is exhilarating, challenging, inspiring, heart wrenching, amazing and absolutely full of God. We go to a new location each day, usually some remote village, or a woman’s shelter, or a church, maybe a prison, or another orphanage. Sometimes multiple locations in 1 day, and sometimes our plans get changed – it’s Mexico. Holy Spirit always gets there before we do, preparing hearts, minds and bodies to receive. We offer a material gift of much needed food and supplies and then have the honor of sharing the Gospel, praying for each family and seeing God bring healing, reconciliation, salvation and joy. You will come back with faith awakened and a heart full of love for a people you just met. We return to the same places nearly every year and get to see what God has been growing from the seeds he allowed us to plant the previous year. It is always so encouraging!

It can be overwhelming at times, therefore, we don’t have the entire group out on the frontlines every day. We usually take just part of the group out each day while the others stay back at Door of Faith (our sanctuary), resting, playing with kids, holding babies, and tending to camp.

Who should come:

  1. Anyone who wants to experience 3rd world missions.

  2. Anyone with existing missions experience – and/or frontline spiritual warfare experience (we get into some heavy stuff sometimes).

  3. Families who want to do a missions trip together.

  4.  Teens, as long as accompanied by a parent/guardian. Such a powerful experience for this age group.

Specific needs we have:

  1. Spanish speakers – more is always better!

  2. Worship leaders/musicians (guitar or other small instrument is best as we are mobile most of the time).

  3. Photographer/videographer (we would love to have someone dedicated to visually documenting the trip).

  4. Prophetic and other spiritual gifts are always needed in abundance.

  5. Prayer covering by those not attending.

  6. Financial help is always appreciated as it helps us purchase the gift items.

Logistics:

  • Fly into San Diego and then take vans across the border

  • Stay at Door of Faith (dofo.org) – They have a fantastic “camp ground” with a full industrial kitchen, indoor meeting areas, hot showers, and bunks with mattresses. They take very good care of their guests.

  • Travel around by van during the week

  • Total cost is usually around $700, but depends a lot on airfare…

  • I have purchased the following for myself and my son

    • Alaska flight 572 Departing PDX at 9:35am-12:00pm Sat Oct 19

    • Alaska flight 585 Returning SAN at 10:50am-1:30pm Sat Oct 26

    • Price was $259 per person (main cabin fare).

  • Please purchase early to avoid price hikes later on.

  • Your flight purchase is your deposit for the trip.

Must have’s:

  • A valid passport or “North American Travel Card” – if you don’t have one, you should get the process going immediately.
